03.13.2007 2007 Region 8 Mens Championships and State chair election!
As you know every 2 years we have State Chairman elections.

The vote will take place at the State championships in Chattanooga Each Club will have a vote. If you know of someone interested in this position and would like to nominate them please let me know as soon as possible You can email me or call me at 865-599-9620.

The State meeting will take place at the coaches meeting for the first session on Sat. morning. Good luck to all the teams.

09.06.2006 Hi everyone!
Hope everyone has had a great summer.

Here are a few things to remember:

1) TN State Clinic will be at Let It Shine on 10/1/2006
2) Coaches State meeting will be at the State Clinic at 12:30pm during lunch break
3) The annual $15.00 TN Gymnastics fee is due at the State Clinic 10/1/2006
4) The 2007 TN State Championships will be held in Chattanooga by TAG
5) The Region 8 Championships will be held in Knoxville TN
 
This should be an exciting year!

08.15.2006 Phil Savage and Mike Matzek.
 
 

Phil Savage is a tiered less supporter and promoter of our great sport of Men's Gymnastics. He has been described as a great coach, great motivator, good friend. Many of the gymnasts he has coached in Tennessee moved on to partially or full scholarships to compete in college representing our state. He deserves to be our first coach inductee in the Tennessee Men's Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

Congratulation Phil!
Mike Matzek is a great example of what one can achieve trough gymnastics. As a gymnast, Mike earned scholarship at Stanford University and become an All American NCAA Gymnast. He followed his passion for sports and moved to finish his studies in Physical Therapy in Chattanooga. Today he lives in Knoxville, TN with his wife and children. Mike is our first gymnast inductee in the Tennessee Men's Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

09.30.2005 Tennessee State Clinic was a great succes – Franklin, Let It Shine.
 
 
We had 101 gymnasts participating which the largest ever.
 
Big thanks to  Kit Bunger and Let It Shine Gymnastics for hosting the clinic. John Macready and John Roethlisberger were great and brougth a lot of inspiration to all the gymnasts. Also a big thanks to all coaches who helped make this clinic the best ever.

Phillip has signed a letter of intent with Univ. of Michigan.


Jake Bateman - son of Sandy and Rick Bateman Level 10 gymnast at Premier Gymnastics, coached by Phil Savage.

Jake placed 3rd at J.O. Nationals.
Jake has received a full scholarship at Ohio State Univ. Jake is also part of the Honors Program at Ohio State Univ.
